Our first date at Elsie's Plate & Pie in downtown Baton Rouge

Our second date started at Theresa's apartment, then included a "yog" (slow jog) around the LSU campus, and ended at Mid City Beer Garden

Our third date included dinner at Eliza's followed by dessert from Andy's Frozen Custard, but we wrapped it up with a surprise belated-birthday cheesecake and candles for Michael's 28th birthday

Our fourth date was Theresa's first (of two!) trips up to Fort Polk to visit Michael

For our fifth date (and first picture together!) we went to Theresa's company holiday party in downtown Baton Rouge

We spent the Christmas holiday in Baton Rouge with Theresa's family

By the time New Year's Eve rolled around, Michael had moved out of Fort Polk and up to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri, so that's where we rang in the new year

Theresa's first trip up to Missouri to work remotely while Michael was in school

Michael had a long weekend off over President's Day, so he came down to Louisiana to go to Theresa's cousin's wedding in New Orleans

Another trip to Missouri! This time included a visit to St. Louis and a walk around Washington University

In Missouri for Easter

In Missouri....again. On this trip we went to a ball for the Engineer Battalion and Michael did a 5k in STL

Michael was promoted to Captain!!

Memphis for Memorial Day

Last few days in Missouri as Michael graduated from the Captain's Career Course

Spent the 4th of July in Louisiana - and celebrated Theresa's Dad's birthday

By now, Michael had moved to El Paso, Texas so Theresa visited for a few days and we drove up to Denver to see the Littleton Criterion (this picture is in New Mexico, on top of an inactive Volcano)

Theresa drove to El Paso (close to 1,000 miles!) for Labor Day - which was Moose's first trip out of Louisiana!

We got engaged in Santa Fe, New Mexico! We went to dinner and then walked through the town plaza where Michael asked Theresa to read the inscription on a monument in the middle of the plaza, and then to read it again...and again...and again, while he dug the ring out of his pocket/worked up the nerve/waited for the large group of people to finish walking by before he got down on one knee!
